In business since 2012 , DOORWAY INTO LIGHT operates Hawaii's only nonprofit funeral home and only certified green funeral home. We are a full service funeral home offering green burial, ocean body burial and home funerals. Our ministers are available to guide ceremonies for funerals and memorials and can provide end-of-life and bereavement counseling and support. We also operate a community resource center and store, The Death Store, in Haiku, Maui providing counsel, support and education. We offer educational programs and trainings to professional and lay people word-wide. Our programs include, preparing for death and caring for the dying. Our staff includes interfaith ministers, hospice volunteers, educators and counselors.
